Me Made June!

YAY! I am sewing and wearing what I sew! Everyday for a whole month seems easy but I have tried and failed this challenge before. Just click on the badge to the left if you want to go check out the details on So Zo's Blog.

There is my outfit number one - I am a day behind so will HOPEFULLY do another post later today!

I LOVE this skirt - I made it when I was on a family holiday and I was doing lots of things for lots of other people including my at the time one year old terror!

My dad looked after bub for two hours on afternoon and I sat with mum in her sewing shop and made something just for me! And I was VERY pleased with the result.

Then one of the first few times I wore the skirt a stranger stopped me in woolworths and asked if I made it. I said I did and she replied;

"I dont even know if you know about it but I just wanted to say that's very 'Frankie' of you!"

I was so stoked! So now I always smile when I put this skirt on!

My biggest concern with this challenge is that despite having quiet a collection of self made clothes in my wardrobe they are all fairly summery and it is NOT very summery at the moment. So even this skirt got coupled up with some boots today.

So it looks like some sewing warmer clothes over this month! I do love a good excuse to sew for fun!

And I hate my hair at the moment so maybe some hats are in order!

PUSH - Mirror

I am SO excited by this weeks Push theme because I took this photo last week when my camera was new (to me at least) and I was taking about 100 pics a day!

So I dont know if thats cheating but here is my pic anyway.

I've always wanted to see a film clip where it is just the singer in a rear vision mirror - but given that I have no musical talent it was never going to be me. I like this pic cause its interesting.

Love playing this game!

Oh and dont forget it is the first of June tomorrow so for the next 30 days I am going to try and wear something I have made or altered everyday! See you back here with my first outfit tomorrow arvo!

PUSH - Numbers

There is my Push Pic for this week - better late than never I always say!

I love this pic because it is not just a puzzle, its about my boy, its about colors and its about learning and they would have to be three of my favorite things in the world!

Darn Camera Cord!

I havent been able to play the Numbers theme of the PUSH game from Hello Owl because I have once again lost the cord which connects my camera to my computer! It may be because my spare room (which is meant to be my craft room) looks like this. . .

So instead here is the images that popped into my head soon as I read the theme for this weeks theme. I thought i should share them with you, these pics were taken by my beautiful friend Kelly Rae!

So what's new?

Well as much as I love the idea of this blog and I want it to be a place where I focus and share my creations I have been hopeless at regularly posting. It hasnt been helped by my lack of internet access - but I'm not here to make excuses!

I am here to make it better!

So - Over the next couple of weeks I am going into serious blog training! And I am joining in some fun blog challenges to keep up the motivation!

The first is PUSH - it is a fun little photo game hosted by one of my favorite bloggers Danielle at Hello Owl. And having just purchased a second hand Digital SLR I think a photo challenge is only fitting!

Next is Me-Made-June from over at 'So Zo...' - it is all about wearing clothes and accessories made by me each day, for a whole month! I tried to do it in March but on day 7 my house got flooded and I became homeless . . . well staying with friends that is!
